Tips to a Perfect Holiday Turkey

Throughout the years, people have been very creative with ways to cook their Thanksgiving  turkeys. Some recipes are traditional and bake in the oven, some grill it, and others even deep fry it! There’s no way of saying which way is the right way, but here are some tips to the perfect turkey:

  1. When buying, be sure to buy at least one pound per person so that you know you’ll have leftovers.
  2. Give yourself at least 2 days to defrost your bird.
  3. After it’s defrosted, season your turkey generously so it can sink in.
  4. Let the bird sit and come to room temperature that way you know that the whole turkey will cook the same.
  5. Once it’s done cooking, let it sit for at least 30 minutes before carving and serving.

With these tips, you’ll be sure to impress your dinner guests, fill up their bellies, and have some extras for a turkey sandwich tomorrow.
