Tips to Avoid the Stress of Holiday Travel

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year”, as most people say during the holiday season, but it is also one of the most stressful times of the year. Here are five tips to help relieve the stress of holiday travel:

  1. Plan to get to the airport at least 3 hours early. Check in and security lines are extra long during the holiday season.
  2. Don’t wrap your presents before your flight. The TSA may need to look into the packages.
  3. Weigh your bags and look at your airlines restrictions.
  4. Pack extra for your children; most airlines do not hand out snacks anymore.
  5. Beware of the dreaded delays. They are more prevalent during this time of the year.

The most important thing you will have to take with your during holiday traveling is your patience. It seems like nothing fast happens at this time, so sit back, relax, and envision that delicious holiday meal you’ll be having.
